I was right...I am never right about these things...lol. I predicted that Michelle would have a little girl in this post here, and what a gorgeous little girl she is. She was determined to not sleep. I was thinking I may have to come back and try again another day, but she finally succumbed to the land of nod. This little girl is very lucky to be growing up with 2 big brothers who dote so very much on her.

looking for fairy's [canberra child photographer]

We found some too....hiding under a tree. Niamh and I went looking for the fairys and she found so many of them, what a lucky girl...lol. I met this lovely little girl and her baby brother yesterday afternoon for some photos with her Mum and Dad. We had a ball, though we were nearly blown away by the gale force winds....it was quite amazing how strong it was. Little Declan was not sure of me at all...gave me a little frown everytime I looked at him let alone pointed the camera in his direction. I did eventually get some frown free shots though.

We had a ball on Saturday afternoon. I got to meet my new buddy Max who is going to school next year. He ran...he jumped...he rode...he blew... and the wind blew aswell. We were very lucky that the weather did hold out for us. Though as I drove away I did get a few spots of rain on my windscreen, it had been threatening all day. Thanks so much for coming out and playing with me. It was lovely to meet you all.

Sleepy little girl [Canberra newborn photographer]

Gorgeous little Miss Charlotte is a bit older, at 5 weeks, than I would usually do for a newborn session but once she finally succumbed to sleep she was fabulous. She kept smiling at me, but it must have eventually worn her out. Though she didn't like the idea of being naked I have ways of getting around it. She christened almost all of my blankets...don't worry hazard of the job...lol.

This gorgeous little girl was one of my very first newborn sessions here. Her session still remains one of my favourites. She was only 13days old when I took her first photos. She is now 13 months old. I was so excited to be able to take her photos again especially as she and her family are moving back home to Brisbane next week.

Faye thank you for letting me take her photos when she first came into this world. She will always remain a special little girl to me. I am only going to show you one photo from the session but so far it is my favourite one.

This is the second installment of my Melbourne sessions....14 people....I know....... but we had a ball doing it. This session was organised by Dani for her husband and kids and then there was aunts and uncles and cousins and Nannas and Pops...even one uncle all the way from London. It was go go go from the very beginning until we got kicked out of the gardens because they were closing. We moved to the park next door and nearly got blown away by the wind...we lost 2 balloons though....had some tears over it but lollipops fixed that. The icecream man even came to the party...lol.

Dani it was so lovely to finally meet you after almost 3 years. Next time we will sit and have a coffee instead...lol.

That was a very appropriate saying when I met this lovely family in Melbourne. I had to make a deal with Luke that I would take 5 photos and then he can do silly one....lol. So I now have a lot of photos with sticking out tounges and very cheeky grins. It was fabulous and check out Mum and Dad after 10 years if I recall correctly they still look so much in love......awwwwww.

Janine and Richard I know you have been waiting so paitently to see these, so here you go. I had a fabulous time photographing your family.

Big Brother [Family Photographer Canberra]

This little guy is going the be the best big brother, he already knows all the things a big brother does. Like cuddling and kissing and patting.......and.....poking.....and...pushing......lol, all to mums tummy.

Dosen't Michelle look fabulous??? so compact and no issues with moving around. I had her squatting in doorways, sitting on the ground, slouching in chairs...lol. I think she did actually glow too.

I can't wait to meet the little bubba inside in a few short weeks. I am guessing a tiny little girl...lol.

I was with Tracy and Brad and little Billy from a few posts down shooting a mini session for them and walked past this patch of ivy. I saw the above photo in my head.......it worked beautifully.

Tigers and swings

That is pretty much what happened when I met this gorgeous family. When I asked little Flynn what he could see in my camera his response after looking very hard was he could see a tiger...but not only a tiger but a giraffe and a leopard aswell...lol. He has the most fabulous imagination. His big sister Holly took me by the hand and gave me a guided tour of her house and backyard....lol and I have to say, I don't think I have ever seen a child swing as high on the swing as she did.....man I was nervous but she was loving it.

I had so much fun photographing this family and their newest addition 10 week old Daisy who has the most fabulous hair.

Oh my lordy I have been busy

I have been flat chat this week. With the workshop with the fabulous Barb from 'Jinky Art', school going back, sessions to proof and emails to catch up on. I am slowly getting to the bottom of my pile...lol. If you have sent me an email and I haven't replied yet I seriously apologise...can you resend it as it may have been lost/missed in the chaos that was this week.

Now I have sooooooo much to share with you. Firstly the workshop....OMG it was just amazing. To meet Barb..aka..Jinky was such an honour. I will tell you I was peeing my pants as we got closer to Bungendore. I am so glad my dear friend Robyn was driving as I was so nervous. Not only about meeting Barb but all these other friends I have made online through our love of photography. Well I had nothing to worry about as they were all just so lovely. It was the best weekend and I learnt so much my head is still spinning....lol.

So the first 3 photos are some I took during the weekend.

The morning before I left to go I had a mini session with Billy from the last post and his grandparents who had flown down from Brisbane to meet him. So we headed out to Floridae to have a little session with him his Mum and Dad and his lovely grandparents. So that is the 4th photo the light was just gorgeous in this particular spot. Stay tuned for Floriade next year as I have something in mind just have to see if it will be feasible.

Tha last photo is just somehting I took yesterday of my Conor in the blue and his bestest buddy Sam...two very cheeky monkeys......lol.

So I still haven't shared any photos from the wedding I did with Robyn a few weeks ago. Unfortunately the week following thier wedding they recieved some very sad news the the grooms sister had passed away very suddenly. So the honymoon was postponed so that they could fly home to be with their family. My thoughts go out to them during this very emotional time.

I also did another session with the ACOCP yesterday. Little Kate was born at just 25 weeks and I was privelidged to meet her and her family.

So there is still lots to come aswell as 2 birthdays in the next 2 weeks.....so stay tuned.

curly little Billy

Oh little Billy was just so sweet and so alert for 7 days old. He was happily staring out the window while we got ready for his session. He did finally succumb to the land of nod...but not until he pooed all over his Daddy during one of the photos.....lol. So Dad went off to get cleaned up and we continued with the session. By this time he was sound alseep so we cranked up the heat and did his nudie photos. He performed beautifully as you can see from the photos.

I had so many cuddles from this little boy and it was lovely.....gee I love my job.

Brad and Tracy enjoy your little preview I hope you like them as much as I do. I will have your slideshow ready next week.

**AWAY FROM THE OFFICE**

Just a little note to let you all know that I am going to be living it up with a bunch of fabulous photographers while we learn everything we can from the fabulous Barb Uil from 'Jinky Art'. She is running a workshop from Friday 10th till Sunday 12th of October. So I will be awayfrom the office this weekend. If you need to contact me please send an email as I will be checking them before I go on Friday and then when I get back on Sunday night. If it is urgent leave a message on my mobile number and I will call you when I can.

7 day old bundle of love......

Meet little Angus.....he was not a happy camper when it came to his photos. Screamed at the thought of being naked but I was determined to get there so at the very end I did manage to snap a few photos of him in the buff.

His gorgeous big sister Audrey is a bit smitten with him though still cautious. As you would be when this noisy little being joins the house hold. You can tell though she is going to be a fabulous big sister.

Mylie.......so perfectly tiny, with a little bit of spunk

I had the honour of meeting and taking photos of little Mylie on Sunday. She was my first session for the ACOCP and the first one for the ACT.

Mylie was born at 25 weeks and 6 days, way too early for such a beautiful little girl. She must have been to eager to meet her Mum and Dad. She is now around 5 weeks old and has just reached the 1kg mark. She is delicate, like a little girl should be but had a little bit of spunk which she proudly showed when she was getting her little dress on for the photo session. She is getting bigger and stronger every day and though it must break her Mum and Dads heart each time they have to leave her in the NICU, one day very soon she will walk out the door with them to begin her life where she should be...at home, safe, with her loving parents.

Lisa and Matt thank you so much for allowing me into your life ever so briefly to capture Mylie's journey. May she keep growing stronger each day until she is spending all her time in your arms, cooing and smiling up at you.

Babies, babies, babies

Well it certainly is spring. There are babies being born left, right and center.

This little guy will be one of the next coming soon, well his mummy is hoping so. Leonie was one of the mums who contaced me about my maternity offer. She is due mid next month though her belly is so compact you wouldn't guess. She was glowing too.....wish I glowed like that when I was 37 weeks. Her two little boys Blake and Jack are going to be big brothers soon and I think they will be fantastic brothers....very cute and very cheeky.

Here you go Leonie I hope you like them, it was lovely to finally meet you and your boys. You r slideshow will be ready soon.

I have been so busy lately and it is going to continue for a while yet. So keep an eye on my blog for more babies, a wedding, and a very special session I did for the ACOCP.

This beautiful woman is a friend from college that I ran into a few months ago. When I found out she was pregnant with her second child I offered her one of the free maternity sessions. She was more than willing to volunteer for me.

I am so glad M did because of the gorgeous photos I did get.

This is Blair.....if you go back a few posts you will see before he entered the world. HERE. After a very quick labour he finally joined his family. With two big brothers doting over him he will certainly be one spoilt boy.

When he was 9 days old I popped over to do his photo session. Little Blair wasn't too impressed about having his photo taken, in fact each time I tried to move him he became quite upset with me. At one point he covered his face as if to say "...nup, I'm not doing this anymore..." LOL. He eventually let me take some photos although I did have to be quick.

beautiful children for Caroline and Rodney. Their little boy Angus Lee arrived two weeks ago. He is the most laid back bubby I have seen. Caroline looked totally blissed out and so in love with him. He slept beautifully once I wrapped him and patted his bot for a while. Though he didn't like to put one of his arms forward so we had a battle of wills over that....all whilst he slept...lol.

the delivery man that is...lol. There was a knock at the door this morning and I opened it to find the delivery man handing me a big box. Now I didn't have anything due so thought it must be for Brendan. Curious as to what it might be I turned the box around to see it was from Cameras Direct.....I knew what it was as soon as I saw that. Oh I was so excited and so was Conor who was at my feet. I even let out a little squeal of excitement.

So here you go....my new baby. My Jill-e camera bag. I put my camera and my 50mm lens in it, they fit very nicely.....BUT.....they are looking VERY lonely in there and definately need a bit of company. Hmmmmm now where did I put that wish list?!?!

I had a little session with a friend of mine over the weekend. She is 37 weeks pregnant with her 3rd boy. Yup she is following in my footsteps, though she will need to have another boy to match me..lol. She was kind enough to let me try out some ideas on her and I think they turned out pretty well if you ask me.

I am hanging to meet this little guy and try out somemore ideas on him.

Thank you so much Rowena for letting me capture you like this...what a wonderful time it is. Well except for the heartburn and the waddle and the needing a shove to move anywhere...lol. You know what I mean ;-)

Well I certainly did when I met little Elijah.

He was soooo tiny and full of sleepy smiles. At 9 days old he obviously knew a secret which he was keeping to himself for the moment. Hopefully one day he will whisper it in his Mum and Dads ear. I have never photographed such a smiley baby before and my fingers had to work fast to capture them...which I did...many times.

I helped another photography friend with some newborn photos the other day. Her brand new niece Skyla was born so she travelled down from Orange to meet her and take some piccies but wasn't quite sure what to do. So I offered my help to her....who am I to ignore the opportunity to take newborn photos.....lol.

ABA Calendar

Each year the Australian Breast feeding Association (ABA) puts out a call for photographers to enter photos for their calendar. So I sent in a few photos to them, and I recieved an email last night letting me know that this photo has been accepted. I am stoked....sooooo excited. This is a high profile association and the calendar is of a very high standard too.

So once again little Jackson will be featured in a calendar....he is my muse...lol. If I want to try out a photo idea I just call Bec. It seems to be working for me so far.

the day I met this lovely family up the mountain for a photo session. The two little girls, who by the way are the same age as my two youngest, were such troopers. It was blowing a gale almost...well it certainly felt like it...lol, and it was about 14 degrees. They were full of smiles and the littlest one had the cheekiest smile I have seen on a little girl, she even sang Bob the Builder to me. The eldest took a little time to warm to me but was happy to her face on the back of the camera when I showed her, by the end of the session she had well and truly come out of her shell. Oh and mum is pregnant with number 3 due in about 6 weeks. She looked absolutely fabulous...oh how I wished I looked that good that late in my pregnancies.

My new website is finally live. There are still a few thinsg to fix but until the other computer is connected to the net I can't, hopfully this week.

The great thing about the new website is it has a proofing section for your slideshows. All you need to do now to see them is go the the your photos page and type in a password that I will send you....Sooooooo easy!!!

There is a change in the pricing structure....don't worry nothing major I have just added a few things to your options. Hmmm that may make it harder for you to decide...lol. Sorry.

My baby is 2

I can't believe he is so grown up now. It is one of those happy sad moments in life. Slowly all the baby things are going from the house and soon it will be like there never were babies here.

Only the loud raucus noise of 4 boys. I am loving the laughter and games they play. BUT I will miss the snuggles you get from a baby during the night when it is dark and quiet. No more newborn smell only the smell of big boys.

Oh well I must move on and look to the future. I am just sad to be leaving that part of my life behind........

Well we finally got to finish the photo session. After the weather turning bad on us at the original session and then illness from the kids we finally got there. It was a lovely afternoon spent up at Stromolo and Ben was able to dressup as 'The Thing' he new costume...so we had some fun with that.

How gorgeous is this little girl. She is seriously like a baby doll. The most amazing eyes and long eye lashes. She was alittle shy to start with but eventually wared up. Her brother on the other hand was a firecracker...very busy. I eventually pinned him down with a guitar and he played some music for me.

A photographer friend of mine was down for a visit over the weekend so we dicided to swap our kids for a mini session. So she ended up with my four terrors and I had 2 of her lovely quiet kids....lol. (another was back home) Little Jonah was born 2 days after Tynan was and Finlay is 9. The only problem was it started bucketing down with rain...even hail. So we ended up quite limited as to where we could go. Meet little Tegan who loves her daddy and Ben who loves Tegan. I was lucky enough to photograph this lovely family on the weekend. I was hoping that the lovely sunny weather of the morning was going to stay but unfortunately it didn't. So we did what we could and then called it a day.

I met the most gorgeous family on the weekend. I am not sure if I have ever seen a Mum and Dad more smitten than Allison and Wayne, and so they should be with little Grace. A very serious little girl...apparently not at 6am though...lol. She was feeling a little shy this day and wasn't going to give us a smile. I still did manage to get some beautiful photos of her...and Mum and Dad of course.

We can jump puddles.....

....and they certainly had to during this session. In fact we weren't even sure we would make it until 1/2 hr before. We woke up to rain that cleared quickly to a beautiful sunny day. Then at lunchtime a storm passed through. Luckily it was quite quick and the sun came out again. So off we went up to my new fave location. We dodged the big puddles for a while and then they let rip. Lucy and Sam had a ball....even little Jackson was doing his very best jumps.

So here is the result of the puddle jumping session. Only a few to whet your appetite Bec and Chris...yeah I know I am a meanie. It will make them all the more exciting when you see them all.

I net this little girl and her family on my last day in Melb. She was 6 days old then and oh so beautiful. She never made a sound, so content to be here. She is surrounded by lots of brothers and 1 adoring sister....I can tell you this little girl is going to be spoilt with love by this family. She was quite happy to be photographed though she wasn't too sure about curling for the photos. We got there with a team effort by her mum and me and we got some gorgeous photos of her.

Three boys and a girl

Another of my Melb sessions. The whole way driving out to this session I was praying that the rain would hold off long enough for me to get some photos. I was very lucky because it did.....just. I met these kids who are around about the same ages as my boys...in fact the youngest boy Reeve is only 2 weeks younger that Tynan. Oh what fun we had and their mum Kylie cooked the nicest chocolate mud cake for me...I will be heading back there....if only it wasn't so far away :-(

I do have to say that Devonie is one of the prettiest girls I have met in a while...Kylie and Peter you will have to watch out in a few years as she will be a looker......lol. Oh and Jordan he is gonna break a few hearts too. Oh heck let's just say they are all a bunch of cuties.....lol.

I had a very busy trip to Melbourne over the weekend where I had 3 photo sessions. I was lucky enough to meet these 2 gorgeous kidlets. I was staying with a friend who has a gorgeous garden so I decided to dress up little Bridie in her fairy wings and a tutu I had made. At first she was not sure at all about the whole thing but when my friend Georgie started being silly with a ball she warmed up and gave me some beautiful photos. I also got to take some photos of her brand new baby brother Edan..well he is actually 8 weeks old so not brand new like another session I had but more on that one soon. He has the biggest eyes I have seen on a baby and they are just starting to change colour to brown. I have alot of photos to get through so I'd better get back to it. The last photo of Edan has to be one of my favourites.

Been a while....

since I shared some of my boys. We have had a lovely time lately. Liam has well and truly settled into school and is now bringing home readers to read at night. This is very exciting for him and something special as they don't start readers till 2nd term. He also turned 5 on easter Saturday. We had his party the week before and he was convinced that on his actual birthday he was truning 6 because he had celebrated his birthday with his friends the week before...when he turned 5...lol. Took some convincing but he did finally accept that he was 5.

Ryan hasn't been too well lately and after a series of blood tests over 2 months we have no found out that he had Glandular Fever. We had no idea...poor boy. He is now on the long road to recovery with lots of rest....and no homework lucky him. We are still making him do his spelling, though just not everyday.

I am loving having the 2 littlies home with me during the week though I am sure Conor would rather be at school with his brothers. We have been shopping and having coffee's and playing at the park.

So I will finish with some photos of the boys. The one of Liam was taken on his birthday during his special birthday photo session which I am now making a ritual for the boys on their birthdays.

I just need to get one of the big boy...who runs whenever I get the camera out lately.

This sweet little boy is the youngest of one of the playgroup mums. I finally got to take his photo over the weekend. He is just tiny. At 2.5weeks he is still not the size of my smallest bub at birth. I tried my new wraps out with him and they have now been christened....in fact everything was christened.....lol. He was wide awake for most of the session and loved having a chat with me.

Over the weekend was the Royal Canberra Show. Now each year my Mum enters some of her wondeful artwork into the Art competition. This year she convinced me to enter some of my phtos into the photography section. I thought what the hell and chose 2 of my favourite photos right now to enter. So the show rocks around and I don't hear from the organisers so I assume that I didn't get anything.

Mum was sitting the exhibition on Sunday so I thought I would wander out and see the competition and have a coffee with her. WELL at about 11am on the Sunday morning the phone rings and it is mum all excited and I though Oh wow she won something how cool....BUT no it was me!!!! Both my photo won first prize in their respective sections. Colour Portrait (Tynan without the writing on it) and B&W (the gorgeous Lucinda). Well I will tell you that I did kinda hyperventilate. I was sooooo amazed that BOTH had won. So I go out to have a look and not only did I win my sections BUT Mum got a highly commended for one of her paintings.....and so did my Mother in Law. What a day it turned out to be.

a dress, an alley, a ruin and a river

Very early on Saturday morning, (and I do mean very early, it was about 6am) me and my camera joined two friends and their cameras and one very brave model for a bit of fun. We did a photo shoot that is very popular in America and Europe and is slowly gaining popularity in Aus too. It is called a Trash the Dress. Now we used Veronicas(photographer) wedding dress for the shoot.

Now I know you are all thinking we are crazy...I know Brendan still is, but let me explain the concept to you. When you are getting married and you are having your photos taken the aim is to get lovely photos whilst keeping the dress in pristene condition. You would therefore sacrifice some gorgeous photos just because you may get some dirt on the dress. Well we don't care what happens to the dress because we are going for the perfect photo instead. To quote we are " pushing the boundaries of creative photography" If the dress gets wet well so be it. If it gets mud stained so be it. If we get awsome photos it was all worth it. We went to grafitti alley on Bunda st and then up to the ruins of the Stromolo Observatory and then ended the day at/in the Cotter.

So I think you can see from the photos above.................IT WAS SOOO WORTH IT.

I am sore, tired and I ache all over. I ended up in the river with our model all to get the perfect photo.

Would I do it again????

The Challenge is over

Now don't get me wrong I have really enjoyed trying new things but it started to get really tough at the end. The boys didn't want a bar of me. I was even sick of taking self portraits. So this is a few of my faves from the second half of the month. I am deternined to keep trying new things and brancing out from my norm.....just not everyday of the month.

Firstly happy new year to all my readers. I hope the start of the year has been kind to you. I thought I should do an update on what I have been doing. I am taking part in a photography challenge where we have to take a photo a day for the month of January. Now for me I am trying things that I have wanted too or have been to scared to do...like sunflares, silhouettes, arty farty stuff you know what I mean. So here is a few of my faves so far. It has been alot of fun, though Tynan features an awful lot in the photos as he is the only one willing to be photographed unless I catch one of the others at a good moment.

Well it is that time of year again. It has come around so fast. I will have 2 boys at school next year. I can't believe that my boys are growing up so fast. In fact my baby Tynan had his first haircut today...yes I know he is almost 19 mths old but it was his first. He had the most beautiful curls and they are now gone. I am hoping that they will come back after recovering from the shock of the hair cut......well I can be hopeful can't I....lol.

I want to say thankyou to all of my clients for supporting me this year. I hope you all have a fabulous christmas and an enjoyable new year with your families. May 2008 bring you all you dream of.

Sleepy little girl

Meet Lucinda.........She is the most beautiful little girl and I got to take photos of her today. She is 10 days old and was so good. She slept pretty much the whole time I was taking photos. Only taking a break for a feed after I woke her trying to take photos of her feet. I also managed to snap a few photo of her big sister Catalina who was saying "no photos Natalie" " no photos Catalina" the whole time I was there....lol. She was just delightful and oh so polite.

Well I photographed 7 kids aged 15yrs all the way down to 3mths. It was fun.....I knew the older kids when they were knee high to a grasshopper. In fact I used to change their nappies...lol. I just had to add that in. Here is just a peek......there were so many to choose from that I thought I would just pick 3 so I closed my eyes and chose these ones as I thought it would be the fairest way to do it. So here you go......there were so many more that I loved.

These three kids are at school with my eldest boys. Hannah and Claudia are in preschool with Liam and Sam is 2 yrs above Ryan at primary school. I tell you, to me, it seemed like these kids really love each other it was so lovely to see. Now H and C are twins but so different. H has the most amazing bottichelli features with this gorgeous curly hair and C well she has the most intense dark brown eyes....you could drown in them and fine elfin features. They are just too gorgeous, wouldn't say boo to a mouse although their mum begs to differ. Now S well he has these gorgeous dark eyes and hair and lovely full lips. He will be fighting them off with a stick in a few years time. So for now I am just sharing these few photos in particular for thier dad who is currently over in Iraq on a 6 mth posting. So here you are.............your gorgeous children.

I found out about an amazing charity called the Australian Charity Of Childrens Photographers (ACOCP) through an online friend. They are the most amazing people. These are professional photographers who give up their time to go into local hospitals and give free photo sessions to families of seriously and terminally ill children aswell as premmie and stillborn babies. Now I don't proclaim to be a professional by any means but I thought this is something that I would love to do. To be able to use my talent to give something so special to these families when they need it most. So I sent of my application and found out on Wednesday that I had been accepted..........WOW. This is something that means alot to me so I am going to do my very best to give these families some special memories.

Then.............yesterday I recieved a phone call from the Tuggeranong Arts Center to say that a photo I had entered in their photography competition has been selected as a finalist. Well I was completley blown away.....YAY!! The judging is Sunday night at 6.30pm so I will let you all know how I went. The photo I entered is the one above titled.........Sleeping Beauty.

Well I was very lucky over the weekend, I got to meet one of the lovely ladies on EB and her darling little twin girls. She was so understanding as it was the first time I had taken phots of twins. Oh they were tiny......6weeks old, 1 week corrected. Ella slept the whole time but Samantha was a bit grumpy. Neither wanted a bar of being naked....lol. I did manage to get some beautiful photos though. It was an experience....one that I would like to do again. Did I mention they were tiny???????

I met the sweetest little girl the other day, and she was tiny. My big boofas were never that small...lol. She was a whole two weeks old. She was not interested in having her photo taken at first all she wanted to do was feed. Who wouldn't want to be that snuggled up to mum. After a while we convinced her to pose for me. Well......she did a fantastic job. She even fell asleep at the end so I got some of her sleeping. Isn't she just gorgeous??

I found out the other day that one of my photos was chosen to be published in a calendar for the Australian Nappy Network. WOO HOO!!! I entered 2 photos of my dear friend Bec's little boy Jackson. He has been featured many times in here. Well the chose my favourite one. This is a big thing for me and it has really given me a confidence boost.

Not only that but this will be Jackson's second calendar appearence in 2008 as he is in the Australian Breastfeeding Association one as well. He is such a little star.

On the weekend I met a lovely family. They had two of the most gorgeous little girls. A very cheeky 2.5 year old and a delightful 5.5 year old. They had the most lovely little tea party in their bedrooms and I was lucky enough to bed treated to a cup of tea at that party.

On the weekend I went for a drive out to a beautiful property out near Michelago. Janeta and Greg are building a house on the side of a hill. They have the most amazing view out of their front windows and a family or two of eagles at the top of the hill. I also got to meet a gorgeous little boy called Tyler and his grandma and grandpa too.

It was certainly worth the trip as you could see how in love with Tyler they were. Who wouldn't be with eyes like his. I just thought I would show of some of my favourites....

Oh she was so sweet and tiny, almost 9lbs but I don't know where she put it. I could have quite happily taken her home with me. I don't think Brendan would have minded though. She slept pretty much the whole time. Even when her brothers started banging on the window outside lol. I could have kept snapping away all day.

Today I got to play with two very cheeky boys from playgroup. We had alot of fun...especially Owen cause he got to jump on the bed!! We played outside too even though the wind was blowing hard. After all that hard work we were lucky enough to have one of Rowena's muffins. Let me tell you....Rowena is one of the best bakers. Her muffins and cakes are to die for. I got to come home with a copy of the recipe too....YUM!!!

This is little J once again. He is the best model. I am entering a competition for a calendar for the Australian Nappy Network and who better to use for it than Jackson. (I can't pin Tynan down long enough to get photos of him right now) Anyway I had this idea I wanted to try out...well J was brilliant. Even though he wasn't really ready to go to sleep Bec worked hard and he eventually drifted off. So I jumped into action and tried out my ideas.

Well I think I will say they worked beautifully. Even thought he is 13 months old he curled up and stayed asleep for me.

We were invited to Jacksons first birthday party on the Saturday before fathers day(it was a busy weekend). We had a lovely time. The boys ran ragged and ate too much, but what else do you do at parties. The weather was perfect and I ran around like a mad chook taking photos. So here is the birthday boy........

Happy Father's Day

Today was Father's day here and we had a very busy day. Firstly Brendan was inundated with presents from the boys which they had bought from the school shops. Liam had chosen a small box of chocolates and some mens soap and Ryan had chosen 'breakfast in a bowl'. Conor gave him a stubbie holder and Tynan and I gave him a book on Dr Who.

We decided to buy some fish and chips and go have a picnic at the local park. A lovely quiet park down near the local creek. The boys had a wonderful time running and playing and Brendan thought he might take Tynan down the slide for the first time. He didn't get too stuck. We then went for a short walk to the creek to see if we could see any animals...unfortunately not, then followed the path to the big rocks. After another play we headed for home.

For dinner we went to B's parents house for one of Doris' lovely roasts, let me tell you they are fantastic. The boys were exhausted after such a busy day but they did have alot of fun.

The Blood Moon

Tonight was the lunar eclpse when the earth is perfectly aligned between the sun and the moon. This then creates a shadow over the moon with only the colour red being able to pass. It therefore makes the moon seem to be red. I drove out to Wallaroo road to see if I could take some photos of it. I had the tripod, my trusty camera and my only zoom lens.........a 28 - 80mm. Not the biggest of lenses but I did still manage to get a decent photo. The tree was highlighted by a car that was approaching. It gave it a pretty cool effect I think. I think I may need to add to my lens collection if things like this are going to keep happening.

The tooth fairy is now broke......

In the last 10 days Ryan has lost 4 teeth. The last front one came out this morning. The day after the school photos, murphys law I guess. So the tooth fairy has no more money :( ..... I mean we are talking $1 for the smaller teeth and $2 for the two top front teeth. She may need to ask for a loan to pay for the next lot which thankfully should be a while as there aren't any that a wobbly right now.

On Sunday I had the honour of photographing this brand new baby boy. He was just gorgeous and a great little model. He was all of 36hrs old at the time and as you can see he still had his name tags and his cord clamp on.

Road Trip!!!!

On Saturday Tynan and I went on a trip to Sydney with some friends of ours, Rach and Isabel. We had the best time. We started at Ikea....woah let me tell you I was overwhelmed by that place. There is so much stuff I didn't know where to look first. I was quite reserved in the end and only bought a few things. I think because I didn't know what to buy, lol. After that we made our way to Chatswood to meet up with a group of friends We met over the internet. All our babies were born around the same time. It was lovely to finally put some faces to the names we knew.

It was a huge day...very long but let me tell you for Tynans first trip away he was fantastic. He travelled beautifully. At one stage he was holding hands with Isabel. They could reach each other in ther car seats, I couldn't get my camera out quick enough.

I had such a great time we are planning to do it again.

A gorgeous little 8 month old boy I got to photograph today. He was a delight as he was smiling the whole time. He has the biggest blue eyes and a very cheeky grin. He also learnt to push himself backwards on the floor until he was peeking out from behind the couch, lol.

Tynan's handknitted longies

My good friend Bec(mum to little J down below) knitted Tynan a pair of longies for his birthday. Unfortunately the first pair turned out to be too small. Probably due to my dodgy measurements. So Bec knitted him a bigger pair. They are gorgeous.

For those who don't know what they are......they are a cover to go over his cloth nappies. Instead of the old plastic pants which were quite bad, these are breathable which allows the air to flow through. Yes they are water resistant as well because they are lanolised which creates a natural water resistant layer between the nappy and the longies.

One week down

Well the first week of holidays has well and truly past and the second has started. We spent the first week staying at home which was nice. We made playdough which the boys loved playing with. Watched DVD's, walked to the park and played outside. Although a few days it was just too cold to stay out there.

It has been a very cold winter this year and tonight they are predicting snow so stay tuned for lots of photos if it happens.

I think the boys are starting to get a bit antsy and are starting to ask when they can go back to school which is a good sign I guess as in a few years they won't want to go back lol.

Little Tynan is now 13 months old. The year has flown by, much too fast if you ask me. This is him taken today when he was outside in the cold playing with his brothers. He had a ball...didn't want to come inside even when his hands were turning purple. (I did take him in though)

Liam and Ryan have taken to playing Knights. This is where Liam stores his swords when they are not in use. Uncomfortable?...yes! Inconveniant?....maybe!?! Cute.....Very much so. That said he had to keep pulling up his pants as they kept creeping down.

Well I thought I would start with LIAM'S first real picture. He is not one for the art's and craft's so to get him to draw a picture is not easy. He will usually scribble on the page and then say "look mum it's a storm". So when I rocked up to pre school on Thursday last week and was greeted with this drawing...I nearly burst with pride. It is a picture of him......and he was very proud too.

Yes I have followed everyone else and created a blog. I figured this would be the easiest way to tell you all about what is happening in our corner of the world. I will hopefully fill this with fun things that are happening here......and let me tell you with 4 boys those things happen quite alot. I also wanted a place where I could show off my photos which is quickly becoming a passion of mine. I have needed a creative outlet for a while and I dabbled in so many things....life drawing(loved), sewing, scrapbooking but I think I found what I want to do. It will hopfully keep me sane for the next few years as I send the last 3 off to school and then start studying myself. I will hopfully start working by 2015...gosh that sounds so far away but it's not really.

I will leave it there for now whilst I get my head around all of this and find the first photos to post:)
